Action Pistol is a friendly competition match and each week the course of fire is changed or modified to challenge our shooters in their accuracy skills and speed skills.  Matches are scored for accuracy and speed.  All club members are invited to join in on this active and fun competition match. League fee for each match is $4.00 – Participants should arrive at the range by 5:00 p.m. (4:30 in September) to sign-in and receive course of fire instructions and safety rules review.  Participants should bring 50 to 100 rounds of ammunition for the competition.  Spectators are welcomed but will be required to wear eye & ear protection at all times while on the range.

These ranges are designed for falling plates and standard paper targets.  The ranges are also supplied with portable target stands that may be positioned on either side of the falling plates or in a row on either side of the range to create defensive pistol scenarios.  These ranges may be used with any pistol calibers up to .45 colt or 45ACP. (no magnum loads on falling plates).  No larger calibers (i.e. .454 Casull or S&W .500) are allowed. The Action Pistol Pit was excavated on April 28th of 2008 and is located just east of the rifle range. This range area is surrounded by very high berms.  The pit contains 2 sets of falling plates and an action swinging target.  The first 2 Action Pistol Bays were excavated in the fall of 2013 and are roughly 8,000 & 10,000 square feet in size for an unlimited arrangement of action pistol shooting courses of fire.  IDPA & USPSA target holders are available. During 2015 and 2016 we have expanded the Action Pistol Ranges and have added 4 additional shooting bays. These additional bays are used in the Wednesday Action Pistol League.
