HLSC Action Pistol Training and Practice

HLSC Action Pistol Training and Practice

The HLSC offers an Action Pistol Training and Practice session where members can practice shooting scenarios that they may encounter on the Action Pistol League. Presently, Member Chuck Gafner will be leading this event and is looking forward to working with other HLSC Members who are interested in the Action Pistol League and would like a time where they can practice and train without feeling the pressure of the League competition.

General Information:

The HLSC Action Pistol Training and Practice is open to all HLSC Members and their permitted guests. The cost is $5 per shooter to offset the cost of consumables (targets, etc.) used during these training sessions. Members should expect to shoot at least 50 rounds during this session but may choose to shoot more. Permitted Firearms are the same as what are permitted on the Action Pistol League – centerfire handguns, PCCs, or Revolvers with typical calibers of 9MM, .40SW, .45ACP, etc. Large caliber or high power magnum cartridges are prohibited on the steel targets. Rimfire/22LR is prohibited as well.

Schedule:

The 2024 Action Pistol Training and Practice sessions will start this Spring in the HLSC Clubhouse on Indoor Range #2 and will move to the outdoor range once the weather so permits. See the HLSC Calendar of events for details.
