HLSC Heavy Metal Madness Steel League

General Information:

The HLSC Heavy Metal Madness Steel League is a friendly competition match to challenge our shooter’s speed and accuracy. All club members are invited to join in on this fun match regardless of their skill level. The Course of Fire is 4 Pistol Bays arranged with 5 steel plate targets of various sizes and shapes with one plate designated as the Stop Plate.  Shooters will make 3 attempts to obtain their best score. Scoring is based on the shooter’s time to hit each target without shooting the Stop Plate out of order. This is really fun way to improve your shooting skills.

League Information:

Match starting time is 6:00 p.m. each Tuesday night during the summer months. Participants should arrive by 5:30 p.m. to sign-in and receive squad assignments.  Volunteers are needed to assist in setting up the targets and can arrive at 4:30 PM the day of the match. Any time spent assisting with the match setup can be reported as work hour time towards the annual membership requirements.

Ammunition Requirements: If a shooter does not miss, they will need 60 rounds to complete the match. Bringing 100 rounds with you to each shoot is recommended.

Email notifications will be used to communicate schedule changes due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Last Shoot: August 27th, 2024

Match Fees:

  • Members $4.00
    • Each Additional Firearm $1.00  
  • Non-Member Guests $5.00
    • Each Additional Firearm: $3.00
  • Family Rate* for each additional person:
    • Members: $1.00
    • Non-Member Guests: $3.00

*Family Rate is for Spouse, Child or Grandchild of individual shooter
