PAPER PLATE CHALLENGE LEAGUE

HLSC Indoor Paper Plate Challenge League

League Description

The Indoor Paper Plates Challenge League takes place at the club’s indoor ranges during the winter season, from January until March.  This league is a club sponsored event for club members and their families and guests.  Members may use rifles and handguns for these matches in any caliber (except those specifically prohibited by the HLSC Rules & Regulations).
Matches are set up in which participants shoot at 5 paper-plate sized targets from a fixed distance.  Targets are arranged in various patterns and the purpose is to shoot 4 targets and a “stop-time” target for a timed score.
There are 4 separate stages in which the competitor will shoot each stage from a distance of 20 ft. from a 3’x 3′ shooting box.  Each shooter completes 3 strings in each stage.  The total of both strings is the score for the stage.
Upon completion of all 4 stages, a total score for the day is tallied for the competitor.
Each stage will use “Proportional Size” targets to simulating the layout and distance of the Outdoor Steel Targets Matches that take place on the outdoor lower ranges beginning in June 2020.
